The American Academy Of Pain Medicine

AAPM membership is open to physicians (i.e., doctors of medicine or doctors of osteopathy) who practice medicine in the United States or Canada. These members spend a significant portion of their time treating pain patients and studying pain disorders.

International members are physicians (i.e., doctors of medicine or doctors of osteopathy) who have a license to practice medicine within their country of origin outside of the United States and Canada.

Affiliate Membership is open only to U.S. registered or licensed Psychologists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses, Physician Therapists, Psychologists, and Pharmacists that are on active pain treatment teams. Requires a letter of recommendation from an AAPM physician member.

Must be enrolled and in good standing in a curriculum of allopathic or osteopathic medicine in an institution within the United States approved by the Association of American Medical Colleges or the American Osteopathic Association. Requires letter from institution verifying enrollment and good standing.

Must be enrolled and in good standing in a residency program in an institution within the United States approved by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education or the American Osteopathic Association. Requires letter from program director or coordinator verifying enrollment and good standing.

Must be enrolled and in good standing in a fellowship program in an institution within the United States that is approved by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education or the American Osteopathic Association. Requires letter from program director or coordinator verifying enrollment and good standing.

Dues:
   Year 1 of Fellowship - $0
   Year 2 of Fellowship - $100
   Year 3 of Fellowship - $375
